A letter of reference from Johnny Dunlap, manager of technical documentation for Fisher Controls' Austin division. |
|
December 17, 1990 To Whom It May Concern: This will confirm that Susan Branting was employed as a Contract Editor and writer in our Technical Documentation Department by Fisher Controls International, Inc. from June 1988 until December 1990, at which time she voluntarily resigned due to her husband's relocation. As supervisor in this position, I found her to be an outstanding employee. She rapidly mastered the use of several desktop publishing software packages including Interleaf and a number of other support software programs. Susan was a fast learner and made good progress absorbing the technical complexities of our products and she was instrumental in producing several excellent technical manuals during her employment. Susan writes well and has excellent editorial skills. Her knowledge of the editorial function was particularly valuable. She has the versatility to perform in a number of rolls. I was particularly impressed with Susan's interpersonal skills and her ability to "make things happen". She has the ability to accomplish her objectives through personal dedication and the ability to organize and positively influence those with whom she works. |
